Designstudio Amsell Berlin was established 2004 in Stockholm, Sweden, by Pia Amsell and Barbro Berlin. The studios work cover design of products, table top, lighting, furnitures, interiors, patterns and graphics.

Our ambition is to create functional products with a senseful expression that simplifies and improves every day life for many people.

In our work we often find inspiration in the beauty and intelligence of nature. We combine that with our passion for the possibilities of a material with a curiousity for peoples needs and desires at home and at work. The result is harmonic and functional products for the daily life as well as for celebrations.

We met during our education at Beckmans school of Design, in the middle of the nineties, where we studied furniture- and product design. Through the years we have, together and individually, designed and developed products for both massproduction, smaller collections as well as handcrafted made objects.

Our clients are some of Swedens leading producers, such as Ikea, BodaNova, Alcro, Klippan Yllefabrik, Ordning&Reda, Rörstrand, Klong, Nordiska Galleriet, Adesso and Åhléns.
